Alesis has unveiled its new Strata Prime electronic drum kit, a 10-piece mesh kit with 360 degree responsive cymbals and hi-hats.
The kit consists of a dual-zone 14” snare; 8”, 10”, 12” and 14” mesh toms and a versatile 20” kick drum. The cymbals are all triple-zone (two 16″ crashes and one 18″ ride).
The all-new Strata Prime drum module features a BFD engine and a 10.1” touch screen. With 128 GB of internal storage, including over 40 GB of pre-loaded content for user customisation, drummers have access to over 215,000 samples and more than 75 kits. Coupled with extensive sound libraries, the Strata Prime enables highly personalised performances, blending acoustic realism with electronic versatility for a unique drumming experience.
“The Prime drum module is without doubt the most technologically advanced drum module ever made,” says director of product management John Boudreau.
“The all-mesh set-up and the world’s first Active Magnetic hi-hat sensor offer unprecedented responsiveness and playability. We’re thrilled to offer drummers the ultimate tool for both practice and performance.”
The Strata Prime kit is now available for $3,499.
Coinciding with the new kit, Alesis has also released updates of it drum amps.
The Strike Amp 12 MK2 and Strike Amp 8 MK2 are specifically designed for the frequency ranges that electronic drum kits and multipad instruments.
The Strike Amp 8 MK2 and Strike Amp 12 MK2 are rated at 2,000 watts and 2,500 W, respectively.
They boast Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming, dual combo XLR + 1/4” inputs for direct instrument connection, as well as an XLR output for linking multiple amplifiers or connecting to a PA system.
The pricing is $299 for Strike Amp 8 and $399 for the Strike Amp 12.
