Yamaha offers free Drumeo lessons

Yamaha Drums has announced a new promotion with the online learning platform Drumeo, beginning December 5, 2024.

When customers purchase and register a Yamaha EAD10 Electronic Acoustic Drum Module, they unlock 90 days of unlimited access to Drumeo’s drum courses.

Yamaha says its EAD10 – known for its revolutionary stereo microphone sensor and studio-quality digital effects – combined with Drumeo’s expert lessons, is perfect for helping drummers sharpen their skills.

“Combining innovative technology from Yamaha with Drumeo’s expertise creates the ultimate learning experience, whether you’re just starting your musical journey or a seasoned drummer looking to advance your skills,” a spokesperson says.

Canada’s Drumeo is no stranger to collaboration with e-drum companies, and is currently doing a promotion with Alesis, bundling a Nitro Max kit with a year’s Drumeo membership and some other benefits.

“Drumeo (has) partnered with Alesis to offer you the highest-rated beginner e-kit with one year of unlimited drum lessons. It’s everything you need to play the drums. And with mesh heads, you can practise late without disturbing anyone,” the company says in its online promo.

The Drumeo offer is also not the first online training promotion by the Japanese music giant.

Since 2022, Yamaha has been collaborating with Melodics, an immersive desktop app that teaches musicians how to learn new instruments through guided courses.

Through the collaboration, musicians who purchase DTX drums are given access to three months of Melodics training to elevate their learning experience and build skills to play with confidence.

“At Yamaha, we are committed to empowering musicians to fuel their passion for music and continue music education at every stage, whether they are just starting to pick up the drums or are advanced players,” the company said at the time of the launch.

New Zealand-based Melodics has partnered with a number of e-drum companies to offer free access to its training tools. These include Roland, Alesis, Akai and Korg.

China’s Donner, which has its own online training tools, also offers 120 free Melodics lessons to buyers of its drums and keyboard products.
