
Roland rocks the boats

Roland Corporation U.S. will be supporting Carnival Cruise Line’sonboard entertainment across its 25-ship fleet.
Roland will provide Carnival’s bands and technical teams withmusical equipment, training and technical support.
Carnival takes its onboard entertainment seriously and recentlyopened Carnival Studios, a state-of-the-art rehearsal space in Davie, Florida,where it will rehearse and develop new entertainment offerings.
The facility’s multiple studios are equipped with 12 RolandRD-2000 stage pianos, 12 Roland TD-50KV kits and Roland accessories. These andother Roland products will soon be added on Carnival Cruise Line ships as well.
The fleet’s entertainers are receiving both in-person andcloud-based product training support from Roland to enhance their experiencewith Roland products and help take their performances to the next level.
David Brady, Carnival’s manager of music direction, saysmusicians love engaging with new technologies. “So, we are proud to incorporateRoland’s newest flagship V-Drums and stage pianos, the TD-50KV and the RD-2000,into our existing musical platform. It’s amazing how our teams create soundsand textures with these new instruments that perfectly complement our shows.”
