If there’s been one criticism of DWe Drums, it’s been the acoustic noise of the metal cymbals. Now, DW is addressing this by offering the kits paired with Roland’s V-Cymbal pads. At the heart of the new offering is Roland’s DrumLink system which brings wireless trigger support to Roland analogue cymbals, drum pads and triggers. When paired with the DWe DrumLink Wireless Hub, the WT-10 Wireless Trigger Adapter converts a wired pad to wireless, streamlining connectivity for DWe kit owners to integrate Roland pads within their kit. DWe revealed

Drum Workshop has revealed its new electronic drum product – a wireless acoustic/electronic convertible drum set. Under development for several years, the company says DWe is designed to blur the lines between acoustic and electronic drums and deliver a natural playing experience. Launching in 2023 and manufactured in DW’s California custom shop, DWe will represent true acoustic to electronic convertibility with wireless connectivity, three-zone metal cymbals and a premium sample library. “DWe will deliver the most authentic playing experience in the market for drummers whether played acoustically or electronically,” says John Good, senior executive vice president and co-founder of Drum Workshop. “Our focus has always been helping drummers elevate their craft by delivering new innovation, and DWe is no exception.” […]
