Alesis Drums has released the Nitro Ultimate, an upgrade to its entry-level Nitro series, introducing a stand-mounted hi-hat controller and a dedicated amplification system in the Nitro Amp Pro.
The new 10” dual-zone hi-hat cymbal features a stand-mounted controller, allowing it to work with traditional hi-hat stands for more authentic open/closed dynamics. This directly addresses a common frustration with entry-level electronic hi-hat performance.
The nine-piece kit maintains the mesh drum heads of its predecessor, including a 10” dual-zone mesh snare and three 8” dual-zone mesh toms. New cymbal specs include one 10” dual-zone ride and two 10” dual-zone crashes.
The accompanying Nitro Amp Pro is an 80 W wedge-style floor monitor, featuring an 8”woofer and 2.5” tweeter. It’s designed specifically for electronic drums and includes Bluetooth audio streaming and a two-band equalizer. Alesis states this combination creates a complete practice-to-performance ecosystem in an affordable price bracket.
The drum module has 52 kits and over 640 sounds, along with Bluetooth audio streaming for jamming and a USB MIDI connection. The kit also bundles BFD Player software with the Dark Mahogany Expansion Pack.
The Alesis Drums Nitro Ultimate electronic drum kit is available now for US$899, €849.99 and £719.99 through authorised dealers and select music retailers worldwide.
The Alesis Drums Nitro Amp Pro is available now for €149.99 and £124.99 through authorised dealers and select music retailers in all regions outside the US only.
